Luigi
Hernandez
Luigi H. Hernandez is the Founder and President of Excellere Construction, LLC, and a highly accomplished Professional Civil Engineer with more than 25 years of experience in engineering and construction.
Mr. Hernandez earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, a Specialist’s Degree in Highway Engineering, and a master’s degree in Transportation. He is a licensed Professional Engineer and a General Contractor Qualified Agent in the state of Georgia, in addition to holding various other professional certifications.
Over the past 19 years, Mr. Hernandez has specialized in estimating and managing a wide range of infrastructure projects, including estimating and managing roadway improvements, multi-use trails, parks, and streetscape projects. He has earned a strong reputation throughout the Metro Atlanta area and is well-known among government officials across numerous cities and counties, as well as the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT).
Throughout his career, he has served as Chief Estimator, Project Manager, and Field Superintendent on hundreds of public and private projects. Mr. Hernandez has spent over six years focused on highway design and conducted traffic and transportation studies, contributing significantly to infrastructure planning and development.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Hernandez is a passionate soccer enthusiast. In his personal time, he enjoys spending quality time with his two children and traveling.

Controller
Michelle Delaughter
Michelle is a controller with 20 years of experience helping companies understand their numbers and stay financially healthy utilizing GAAP principles. She specializes in turning complex data into clear, useful insights for businesses. Her background spans multiple industries, covering budgeting, reporting, audits, and system upgrades. Michelle attended Delgado University in New Orleans before settling in the greater Atlanta area in 1994. Since 2017, she has been with Excellere Construction, where she focuses on building solid accounting procedures, streamlining processes, and finding practical solutions that support long-term growth. Outside of work, she enjoys boating, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Vice President
Darrell Chambers
Darrell Chambers serves as Vice President of Operations at Excellere Construction, bringing more than thirty years of experience in the construction industry. A specialist in heavy equipment operation, Darrell is widely recognized for his expertise in trail construction, earthwork, complex retaining walls, and elevated pedestrian bridges. His notable projects include the Battlefield Trail in Dallas, Georgia, and the Big Creek Trail in Forsyth County. Career highlights feature the construction of elevated boardwalks rising fifteen feet above ground, as well as the installation of pedestrian bridges ranging from 70 to 300 linear feet in length. Darrell graduated from Cherokee High School in 1988 and proudly served three years in the U.S. Army. He holds certifications in erosion control and traffic control and is passionate about building roads, nature trails, and pedestrian bridge systems. Outside of work, Darrell enjoys fishing and spending quality time with family and friends. Dedicated and detail-oriented, he approaches every project as if he were building it in his own front yard. Executive Assistant
Michelle Magdusian
Michelle Magdusian is the Executive Assistant at Excellere Construction, providing administrative and operational support to the President and management team, as well as managing special projects. She holds a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Georgia Tech and brings a structured, analytical mindset to her role. Prior to joining Excellere, Michelle worked in the Data Warehousing industry for seven years before taking time off to raise her family. At Excellere, Michelle has led and supported several key initiatives, including the selection and implementation of a telematics system, overseeing an office remodel and relocation, and establishing DOT best practices for driver qualifications. She also manages the company’s electronic filing system and contributes to financial record accuracy and operational efficiency. Known for her professionalism, attention to detail, and solutions-oriented approach, Michelle plays a vital role in the company’s daily operations. Outside of work, Michelle is a proud wife and mother of four. She enjoys reading, playing tennis, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Chief Estimator
Antonio Valdivieso
Antonio Valdivieso is currently serving as Chief Estimator at Excellere Construction with over 20 years of general experience in the construction industry in the United States and Colombia. Half of this experience has been in road construction projects. He specializes in estimating and construction management, he has developed a robust skill set that supports his role. Holding a BA in Civil Engineering, three master’s degrees (Construction Management from Georgia Tech, Civil Engineering from Kennesaw State University and MBA, Los Andes University) and a certification in Project Management Professional (PMP). He joined Excellere in 2020 and worked as Project Manager for two and half years, then he transitioned into the role of Estimator where he improved his proficiency in cost analysis and budgeting. During this time, he successfully managed numerous high-profile projects, which allowed him to improve his estimating techniques and tools. His commitment to accuracy and efficiency led to his promotion to Chief Estimator. In his current role, he oversees the estimating department, guiding strategic planning and ensuring precise bid submissions. Outside of work, he has been happily married for almost two decades and he is a proud father of a 14-year-old boy. He values spending quality family time, whether it’s enjoying outdoor activities, attending his son’s sports events, exploring new places or simply relaxing at home together. On Sundays, he enjoys attending church, which offers him a sense of community and reflection.

Mustafa Aldelemi
Mustafa Aldelemi is a Project Manager holding a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the American University of Madaba and a master’s in management from the European University of Madrid.
Project Manager
Renato is a Civil Engineer from Michigan State University and holds an MBA from Georgia State University. With a specialization in construction, he has successfully led numerous multi-million-dollar streetscape & roadway projects across the Metro Atlanta area. In his roles as Program and Project Manager, Renato has worked closely with a range of governmental agencies, delivering multiple high-impact infrastructure improvement projects. His journey began far from the jobsite. Born into a nomadic lifestyle shaped by his father’s career in the gold mining industry. Renato lived across seven countries before beginning his formal education, fostering not only adaptability but also fluency in both English and Spanish. His multicultural background has deepened his appreciation for diverse perspectives and strengthened his ability to connect with people across the continent. From an early age, Renato was captivated by how the world is built. With an innate curiosity and a problem solver’s mindset, he has always sought to transform challenges into streamlined, efficient processes. Today, with his years of experience in the construction industry, both in the field and in leadership roles, he has only reinforced a simple truth: Every project carries its own unique kind of magic, and every day offers new lessons to be learned, from the work itself and the people involved.

Semha Alamin
Semha Alamin is a Project Manager at Excellere Construction with over eight years of experience delivering commercial and road construction projects across the United States and Ethiopia. She holds a BA in Civil Engineering from Addis Ababa University, earned in 2016, and has passed the FE demonstrating a strong technical foundation that supports her project leadership. Since joining Excellere Construction in 2023, Semha has grown from Estimator to Project Manager, applying her knowledge of bid documents, subcontractor agreements, and quantity takeoffs. Her attention to detail and rigorous work ethic played a key role in securing major contracts for the company. In her role as Project Manager, she successfully led the $2 million boardwalk replacement for the City of Alpharetta’s Big Creek Greenway, utilizing innovative top-down construction techniques with helical piers. She also managed the construction of a prefabricated bridge for the Cricket Frog Trail. Currently, she is overseeing a $12 million intersection improvement project on Mount Vernon Highway for the City of Sandy Springs, closely working with the City, utility companies, and subcontractors to ensure smooth coordination, timely progress, and quality execution In addition to her engineering credentials, Semha holds an MBA in Marketing Management, which enhances her ability to communicate across teams and take a strategic view of project goals. Outside of work, Semha is a proud mother to her baby boy and finds joy in watching him grow. She also enjoys traveling, discovering new restaurants as well as attending sporting events in her free time.

Our highly skilled superintendents are a cornerstone of Excellere Construction’s success, bringing over 100 years of combined hands-on experience in managing complex construction projects. Their deep knowledge of field operations, scheduling, safety, and quality control ensures that every project—from trails and boardwalks to bridges and streetscapes—is executed efficiently and to the highest standards. With a focus on clear communication, proactive problem-solving, and attention to detail, our superintendents oversee every phase of construction, keeping projects on schedule, within budget, and aligned with client expectations. Superintendent
Alvaro Acosta
Alvaro began his construction career in 1996, during a period of rapid development in Atlanta, as the city prepared for the Summer Olympics. Over the past 31 years, he has risen through the ranks, from laborer, to concrete finisher, to foreman and now Superintendent. His expertise is grounded through hands-on experience and a relentless work ethic, with a specialization in concrete construction, from trails, retaining walls, bridges, or roads, there are no proposed structures that intimidate him. Alvaro is on-site at first light, ensuring his crew is well structured for the day and the weeks ahead, all for the successful completion of his projects and a reputation to maintain.

Daniel Hernandez
Daniel Hernandez is a Superintendent at Excellere Construction with over 27 years of experience in road construction and public site development. He brings deep expertise in concrete construction, flatwork, earthwork, retaining walls, sidewalks, curb and gutter, and drainage infrastructure. Daniel is currently playing a key role in Excellere’s largest active project, the Mount Vernon Highway Intersection Improvement Project for the City of Sandy Springs, where he is leading the execution of both gravity and soldier pile retaining walls. Outside of work, Daniel enjoys spending time in nature—fishing, hiking, and exploring the outdoors.

Jose Badillo
Jose Badillo has over 18 years of experience in construction. Jose is one of the top superintendents currently working with Excellere Construction. Jose specializes in the construction of boardwalks, including helical piers, and the installation of storm drainage. His most remarkable projects are Big Creek in Forsyth County, GA, which consists of over 1 mile of boardwalks and Chattahoochee River Trail in Mableton, GA, which consists of over 4,000 LF of walking trails in addition to 400 LF of boardwalk. When Jose is not in the field, he enjoys going on nature walks, cooking, and watching sports (Go Packers!). Jose is always ready for his next challenging project.
Superintendent
Bernabe Lachino
“Bernie”, has always been drawn to the rhythm of construction. With over 22 years of hands-on experience in the horizontal construction industry, he has built a career rooted in precision and persistence, specializing in concrete work, drainage structures, and earthwork grading. His leadership on-site is steady and dependable, ensuring every detail is in place and every crew is aligned with purpose. On the weekends, he enjoys fishing, spending time outdoors and often revisiting the projects he has helped bring to life next to his family.

Javier Pioquinto
Javier Pioquinto has over 17 years of experience in construction. Javier is one of Excellere’s newest superintendents. He started as a carpenter on a vast project in Forsyth County called Big Creek, where he helped install over 1 mile of boardwalks. Javier also assisted in Dallas, GA on Battlefield Trail Phase II, which consists of over a mile of walking trail and boardwalks. On the Cricket Frog project, Javier helped install new bridge decking over the Alcovy River. When Javier is not in the field, he prefers to spend time with friends and family, travel, or take long walks. Javier is always ready to see what the next project can teach him.
